Dust is an accumulation of small particles that requires a set of simple steps from the housewife to get rid of it.
In the following guide, we explain the steps to get the best results in the home cleaning process
جدول المحتويات
Vacuum cleaner
Vacuuming dust
When used for cleaning, a vacuum cleaner equipped with a high-efficiency air filter will ensure that it absorbs as much dust as possible, while helping to minimize allergy symptoms. Also, don’t forget to change your vacuum cleaner’s filter every 3 to 6 months.
Wiping floors
At least once a week, you should mop the floors with a wet mop, which will help keep pesky dust at bay. Be sure to refill the bucket with fresh water as soon as it turns dark brown and cloudy.
Microfiber towel
Cleaner, pads and sponges
Removing dust from various surfaces with a wet, microfiber cloth is more effective than with a feather duster, which simply transfers dust particles to the air. Note that microfiber pads need to be washed.
Bed linen
Sheets, blankets, duvets, and pillows are places where dust accumulates, often causing people to wake up with nasal congestion from breathing in dust-laden air throughout the night. Therefore, wash bed sheets, at least once, and bed sheets and other blankets, once, every 3 to 4 weeks.
Once a month, it’s a good idea to hit the cushions and carpets outside the house, using the old broom handle.
Wiping the walls
Every two months, clean the walls from top to bottom with a damp cloth to catch dust.
Removing clutter
Get rid of old, unimportant, dust-collecting items, which will help you clean surfaces more easily.
Paper bundles
Paper products produce a lot of dust, as they decompose over time. Therefore, it’s a good idea to rotate magazines and other paper items regularly.
Air Purifier
A dust purifier traps dust particles, cleaning the air in the room in which it is placed.
Minimize fabrics
Blankets, pillows, cushions, tablecloths, and stuffed furniture all contribute to the accumulation of dust at home, so get rid of the linen and fabric items you no longer need. As a result, you’ll notice a reduction in the amount of dust flying around your home.
Cabinet care
To minimize dust in your closet, hang your clothes neatly instead of keeping them in piles. Designate a place to put your shoes, and vacuum the closet floor regularly. In addition, keep unused clothes in boxes or bags, under the bed, out of season.
Take off your shoes at the door
Enforcing a no-shoe policy at home keeps the dust at bay.
Pet care
Pets can shed hair, contributing to increased dust in the home, so it’s a good idea to pay attention to their hygiene, which will help minimize particles and allergens.
In addition, you can wash your pet’s bedding once a week.
Seal cracks in doors and window frames
Using caulk to seal any cracks in a door or window will keep dust out of your home, and possibly reduce the amount of heating required.
