No matter what type of flooring is used in different rooms of the house, you need to maintain it properly, so that it stays looking good for many years, in addition to its durability. There are different ways you can maintain your floors, including polishing.
In the following lines, we explain how to polish different types of flooring (marble, tile, parquet and vinyl), which should be done on a regular basis.

How to polish marble floors?
How to polish marble floors?
Marble flooring is characterized by its elegant appearance, as well as its durability. However, polishing this type of floor requires one of the following two methods:
Make your own marble cleaning solution, at home, by mixing 3 tablespoons of baking soda powder with 1 liter of water. After removing the stains from the marble, using a sponge soaked in water and a little mild detergent, apply the baking soda and water-based cleaner to the marble floor for a few hours, which is then polished with a clean cloth.
Professional cleaning, once a year, with a floor polishing machine.
How to polish parquet floors?
How to polish parquet floors?
Parquet floors begin to lose their shine a few months after installation, requiring vacuuming, followed by wiping the floors with a cloth towel dampened with water and a high-quality polishing paste designed for wood, the latter being preferable to powder polish because it can fill small cracks that may develop in the wooden floor over time.
To remove stains from parquet floors, use distilled white vinegar or a mixture of water and medical alcohol.
On the other hand, you can apply oil or water-based acrylic wax (depending on the parquet and the type of varnish), apply it evenly to the floors, and wait a few hours for it to dry. Pass a cloth, soft, afterward, to polish. Repeat the process every few months, especially if there is heavy traffic in the area.
On the other hand, there is professional parquet cleaning, which includes polishing, sanding, and re-finishing.
How to polish tiles?
The first step is to make a cleaning solution by adding a quarter cup of distilled white vinegar to a gallon of warm water.
However, before you start polishing the tiles, you need to make sure they are clean and dust-free, so vacuum, before a thorough cleaning, using a vinegar solution, wiping the tiles with a clean cloth.
When the floor is completely clean, it can be polished with a high-quality wax for tiled floors.
How to polish vinyl flooring?
To make a homemade polishing solution for vinyl, add one cup of distilled white vinegar to one gallon of water, with a few drops of baby oil.
Soak a soft mop in this solution and squeeze well to remove any excess water, wiping the floor evenly. Next, apply the ready-made vinyl moisturizer to the floor, using it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
